Save San Diego Beach Fires!
During the pandemic the beach was the first place to open up.
Naturally, we got a mixed bag. People gathered after lifeguards left their posts burning whatever they could in the sand, lighting commercial grade fireworks, leaving bottles and coals.
With no oversight, common sense laws against littering and open fires in the sand were completely disregarded. Beach Fire Guy staff and friends spent many nights picking up rogue fires and cleaning up trash and coals. In an unfair effort to fix the problem, officials are shutting down anyone with a contained pit even if they’re following regulations like we are.
Beach Fire Guy has long been their after hours taking care of the beach and we want to continue to provide this service in the right ways.
Please join us in supporting this long standing tradition.
